Now.. to talk about this set!

I am IN LOVE with this print. It is so gorgeous, I don’t know what to do with myself. The bodice of the JSK looks so plain with the same color lace running down it, But this is such a toned down thing that I like it. The lace on the JSK looks amazing and I wish it was on the Skirt. I like the White and the Black versions over the Bordeaux color. I like how the print stands out more. I think the real big thing that sold me on this print is the waist band of the Skirt.

Now the accessories. The clip in bow has a cute charm and I like how the arranged the pattern to appear in it. The headband bow feels a bit questionable to me, but the lace on it is looks delicious too, and could go with other coords. I never really cared too much for brand socks, yet I could see myself getting these. I don’t generally enjoy wearing knee high socks and wear tights instead.

And now.. that neck thing. Google translate calls it a “Neck Corset”. This fake high collar is shown in the skirt model image. I’m more interested in the blouse she has on. I think this may be a more Aristocrat or Gothic type accessory. I feel this is a rather awkward item.

I did my best to put together a red, white and blue outfit :3

Pride & Petticoats: Regency Era & Lolita Fashion

I watched Pride & Prejudice a few nights ago, the version with Keira Knightley as well as the version with the dashing Colin Firth! I have grown to love Regency fashion quite after watching these films and reading Jane Austen’s novels. Much of my great disdain for it was caused by my long time admiration for Late Baroque and Rococo fashions, specifically that of France. Though, that will always be my favorite, Regency is coming to a close second. In this post, there is Regency fashion, empire waists, Lizzy Bennet’s Classic coordinate, and bonnets, lots of bonnets!
